Most people are unaware of how important our teeth is to our overall well-being and appearance. Oral health is by far the most neglected part of the body, probably because it stays hidden most of the time. In fact, most people only start taking care of their teeth only when they feel pain.

1 . FLOSS

Dental floss is a cord of thin filaments used to remove food debris and plaque in between teeth in areas toothbrush is unable to reach. They come in different varieties, e.g. waxed floss, unwaxed floss and expanding floss. Waxed floss can be easier to slide between closely spaced teeth. Unwaxed floss will squeak against cleaned teeth, indicating plaque has been removed. Meanwhile, expanding floss is designed to help remove plaque in hard-to-reach areas between teeth which have larger gaps.

2 . RINSE

Mouth rinses can help prevent cavities, slow plaque buildup and combat bad breath. Citrus fruits, 

odor-causing bacteria thrive in an acidic environment. By eating a lot of acidic foods, you are basically inviting bad breath to stick around. Antibacterial mouthwash that contain thymol, eucalyptus, methyl salicylate and menthol are the only over-the-counter mouthwashes to earn ADA seal

3 . SCRAPE

Bacteria builds up as you eat and drink and it is the most common cause of bad breath. Scraping your tongue every after brushing is a good habit to make. Tongue scrappers can be made from plastic, copper or stainless steel and are readily available in most drugstores.

4 . BRUSH

Regular tooth brushing is very important for both children and adults.
